  1. Following a verbal altercation that escalated into a violent confrontation, two women were apprehended by the Bibb County Sheriff's Office in a car chase. The incident unfolded on Jul. 5 when the suspects (pictured at the link) pursued another woman in their Dodge Charger, discharging gunshots in her direction. The accused now face multiple charges, including aggravated assault, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. (41 NBC News)
  2. Macon resident, Ormand Humphrey, 19, lost his life in a shooting incident in Warner Robins on Tuesday. Authorities responded to a distress call regarding a gunshot victim at the intersection of Stevens Street and Sherry Drive, discovering Humphrey lying face down. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Humphrey was pronounced dead. Law enforcement investigators suspect that the fatal shot was fired from a vehicle, although additional details have not yet been disclosed. (wgxa.tv)
  3. The Dollar General Literacy Foundation has awarded Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA a $9,000 grant to enhance adult literacy programs.
