1 Dead On Scene, 1 Injured After Mableton Apartment Shooting: Cobb Police

COBB COUNTY, GA — One man is dead and another is injured after a shooting at a Cobb County apartment complex early Monday morning, Cobb police said.

Around 1 a.m. Monday, police were dispatched to Mableton Ridge Apartments, located at 6660 Mableton Parkway, regarding a person shot. Officers found two men, whose names have not been released, suffering from gunshot wounds.

One man was unresponsive when police arrived. Emergency personnel attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead on the scene. The second man was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries, a Cobb County Police Department spokesperson told the Marietta Daily Journal.
