Inmate Dies At Cobb County Jail
An inmate was sent to a hospital for medical care during pre-booking but later died after returning to the jail, Cobb authorities say.
MARIETTA, GA — An inmate facing criminal trespassing charges died Sunday at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, the Cobb County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
Authorities said Bobby Clark, 57, was sent to a hospital for medical care during pre-booking; but, he refused treatment.
Clark returned to the jail to continue the booking process; but, authorities said during some time, paramedics tried to perform lifesaving measures. Ultimately, he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

The Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigations has been requested to investigate the in-custody death, and per protocol, the sheriff’s office will conduct an internal investigation, authorities said.
