1 Arrested, 2 Sought In Town Center Mall Robbery: Cobb Police

One suspect was arrested Friday in the robbery at Town Center Mall Thursday. Cobb County police are still searching for two more suspects.

COBB COUNTY, GA — One suspect has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at Town Center Mall Thursday, and Cobb County police are still searching for two more.

Police responded to what was initially a possible active shooter at the mall Thursday afternoon around 3:20 p.m., but upon arrival officers learned that three masked people robbed A&M Custom Jewelry at gunpoint. One employee was injured during the robbery after being struck in the foot, which police believe could be shrapnel from a bullet. The employee was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 24-year-old suspect, later identified as Marquavis Wilson, was also shot in the abdomen by an armed security guard during the robbery, Cobb police spokesperson Shenise Barner said. He fled with two other suspects — who are still at large — but was later dropped off at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
