1 Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash Monday Morning: Marietta Police

A 53-year-old woman failed to stop at a red light "for unknown reasons," police say, and got injured when she hit a van.

MARIETTA, GA — A woman was seriously injured Monday morning after she ran a red light and hit a man's van, Marietta police said.

At 5:39 a.m. Monday, 53-year-old Teena Zachary of Kennesaw was driving east on North Marietta Parkway near the intersection of Interstate 75 when she failed to stop at a red light "for unknown reasons," according to the Marietta Police Department. She hit a van, driven by Brian Stack, 49, of Marietta.

Zachary was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries. Police did not clarify the status of Stack, the other driver.
