2nd Candidate In Mableton City Election Gets Disqualified
The candidate was running for mayor, and was disqualified due to a returned check for a qualifying fee payment.

MABLETON, GA — A day after a Mableton city council candidate was disqualified for a returned check, elections officials said a mayoral candidate has now been disqualified for the same reason.
Cobb County Elections Director Janine Eveler said Tuesday Henry Okafor, a boxing coach and reverend, submitted a check for a qualifying fee payment and it was returned due to insufficient funds.
His name was removed from the ballot. It will not be added back unless Okafor can show evidence the bounced check was a bank error by Feb. 3, county officials said.
