3 Adults, Child Injured In Cobb Crash

A man involved in a crash was hit by a car while checking on passengers, then his car spun and hit another person in Cobb County.

MARIETTA, GA — Four people, including a 5-year-old girl, were injured in a crash Sunday evening at the intersection of Dallas Highway and Midway Road, Cobb County Police said.

Police said a 2009 Toyota Camry driven by a 22-year-old Marietta man was involved in a car crash and was partially blocking a westbound lane on Dallas.

At the time, the man was outside of the car checking on the two adults and the child who were inside the Camry, police said.

Then, a black 1997 Ford Thunderbird driven by a 61-year-old Dallas man was heading west, and as the Thunderbird approached the intersection, it hit the sitting Camry and the man, police said.

The Camry then spun and hit another person, police said. The status of this person is unknown.

The man was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries, while the two adults and child were taken to the hospital for minor injuries, police said.

The Thunderbird's driver was not injured, police said.
