COBB COUNTY, GA — Seven arrest warrants were issued during a recent police operation that targeted registered sex offenders in Cobb County, authorities said Tuesday.
The purpose of Operation Watchful Eye is to verify if registered sex offenders were living where they said they lived, the Cobb County Sheriff's Office said.
Though authorities are required by law to check addresses once a year, the sheriff's office said it conducts at least five yearly checks, including Operation Watchful Eye.
