Accused Gunman Arrested In Stepfather's Shooting Death: Marietta Police

A 58-year-old man was shot to death after a dispute with his stepson in Marietta, police say.

MARIETTA, GA — The man accused of shooting and killing his stepfather has been arrested, Marietta Police said Wednesday.

Pharron Banks was accused of fatally shooting Michael Jackson, 58, around 6:30 p.m. Monday in the 10 block of Ridge Run. Police said Banks was arrested around 5 p.m. Wednesday at a Gwinnett County home.

The shooting resulted from a dispute, police said. They added Jackson was pronounced at a local hospital.

A be-on-the-lookout was issued for Banks' whereabouts. Police said warrants were issued to charge him with homicide-murder, aggravated assault weapon and third-degree cruelty to child.
