Here are the top three stories in Marietta today:

  1. Advance voting starts today, Oct. 17, in Cobb County. Some Cobb County residents will be voting on whether to incorporate a City of Mableton. Advance voting will be offered at a dozen locations throughout the county. Click here for a complete list of locations and Nov. 8 General Election information. (Cobb County Courier)
  2. Cobb Chamber will be hosting its final Northwest Cobb Area Council of 2022 on Oct. 27. The meeting will feature a panel of local community leaders. The individuals will be presenting updates and news on the county while celebrating the Town Center Community Improvement District's 25th anniversary. Registration is currently open.   3. Marietta City Schools' Superintendent Dr. Grant Rivera has extended the deadline for his offer to pay for students' college application fees. The district will be footing the bill for high school seniors' first college application through Nov. 30. This is the third year that the offer has been extended to students. (11Alive.com WXIA)
