All Cobb Libraries Now Reopen To The Public
All the Cobb County Public Library system's locations reopened for in-person service to the public last week, nearing pre-COVID-19 levels.
COBB COUNTY, GA — Cobb County residents can now use their local library campuses with in-person services once again.
The Cobb County Public Library system reopened all libraries for in-person service last Tuesday after spending a year with curbside service and, more recently, limited in-person services due to the COVID-19 pandemic and public safety guidelines.
“CCPL’s phased approach to re-opening gave us time to devise curbside service models, fill most staff vacancies, and prepare branches to serve our public by adding protective devices and equipment to continue to help curb the transmission of COVID,” Cobb Library Director Helen Poyer said.

The June 1 reopenings included the Charles D. Switzer Library in downtown Marietta, which just underwent nearly $10 million in renovations; the Lewis A. Library patrons will begin seeing in-person offerings on the library events calendar along with virtual programs, library officials said.
Patrons entering all county buildings, including libraries, must go through a temperature check. Masks are strongly encouraged.
