  1. Suspects of a July 2022 Marietta car fire are still at large. While warrants were issued on Friday for the arrest of David Hunter Rogers and Britni Lyn Martin, police are still searching for the suspects of an arson incident for a July 2022 car fire at Red Barn Road. The fire department asks anyone with information to call 770-499-3869. (Marietta Patch)
  2. The Cobb Planning Commission denied permits for a Jewish student center near Kennesaw State University (KSU). In December 2022, Hillels of Georgia requested a special land use permit for a Jewish student center near KSU. The organization had been renting a home on Frey Lake Road but is applying for the permit to comply with county code. As of Tuesday, the Cobb Planning Commission unanimously denied the request for the Jewish student center. (Subscription: MDJOnline.com)
  3. A former Cobb teacher will serve three years in prison for having improper involvement with a student. Zachary Warren White, formerly a graphic arts teacher at Osbourne High School, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to one count of sexual contact by an employee.
