- Another weekend of gun violence in metro Atlanta has many residents calling for change. Several of the recent shootings involved children. Dorothy Leone-Glasser of the Georgia Coalition for Safe Communities remarked that the state needs to address gun violence as a public health crisis. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- AAA has reported that Georgia gasoline prices have fallen this past week, citing the recent trend. Georgia drivers are paying an average price of $3.22 per gallon for regular unleaded fuel, which is 15 cents less than this time last year. A AAA spokeswoman stated that if demand and crude oil prices go up, pump prices will follow that down the road. (Cobb County Courier)
- New apartments are coming to Cumberland Mall in Cobb and are set to be completed in early 2024. The new residential community will have 327 units all on the outskirts of the mall. Brookfield Properties owns this community as well as the shopping center. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
- A list of over 50 hospitals with outstanding spine and neurosurgery programs has been released. This list includes Wellstar Health System in Marietta. Wellstar Neuro Care includes 136 specialists on their unit in addition to a recent test of a groundbreaking device that treats complex ischemic strokes. (Becker's Hospital Review)
