Canadian Man Flew To Atlanta To Have Sex With Marietta Girl: FBI
FBI: Canadian man stopped at Hartsfield airport after coming to Atlanta to have sex with a 13-year-old girl he met online.

MARIETTA, GA -- A Canadian man flew into Atlanta to have sex with a 13-year-old Marietta girl, federal officials announced Wednesday. Fortunately, agents apprehended Yves Joseph Legault as he got off the plane at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, ending an illicit saga that began online, authorities said.
Legault, 53, of Ontario, Canada, was indicted by a grand jury on Tuesday, Horn said. (SIGN UP: Get Patch's Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts. Or, if you have an iPhone, download the free Patch app.)
Legault was arraigned on multiple federal charges, including using the internet to entice a child for sexual activity and enticing the 13-year-old to engage in sexually explicit conduct over the internet, according to Georgia U.S. Attorney John Horn.

“The FBI successfully intercepted Legault after he flew into the United States and before he could carry out his plan," Horn said in a news release.
Federal authorities said that in July, Legault began communicating online with a 13-year-old girl he met on Omegle, a free online and anonymous text and video messaging app. After a while, Legault got the girl to switch communications to another site, where he allegedly petitioned the teen to perform sexual acts on live video-stream for him.

Eventually, Legault planned a trip from Canada to Atlanta to have sex with the girl, Horn said. On August 4, he arrived at the Buffalo-Niagra Falls Port of Entry, but his from Buffalo, New York, was cancelled, federal authorities said. On August 11, Legault successfully flew to Atlanta from Toronto for the purpose of engaging in sexual intercourse with the teen, Horn said.
The man's alleged plot might have worked had the girl's mother not alerted FBI agents after intercepting a package Legault sent her daughter from Canada, Horn said.
"Cases like this one," Horn said, "demonstrate the continued importance for parents to engage with their kids about their activities on the Internet including the app’s they are using to chat, and the people with whom they are chatting.”
