
The Miss Georgia pageant was held this past weekend in Columbus, and five winners have Cobb County ties.
According to the Marietta Daily Journal, the following contestants received awards:
- Miss Marietta’s Outstanding Teen, Kelly Hutchinson of Harrison High School, was named Miss Georgia’s Outstanding Teen and will represent the state in Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageant in August.
- Miss Capital City’s Outstanding Teen, Anna Tucker of Acworth, was the fourth runner-up.
- Miss Cobb County’s Outstanding Teen, Abby Quarles of Marietta, won the overall talent award.
- Maggie Bridges, Miss Cobb County, was the third runner-up.
- Marietta's Katherine McCauley, a student at Kennesaw State University, was a top 10 semi-finalist who won the overall talent award.
