- Cobb County Elections Director Janine Eveler is retiring after serving in the position for 12 years. Eveler was with the department for 18 years and has expressed a love for the "elections world." According to Eveler, her legacy as Elections Director will be the brand-new Cobb Elections headquarters and her selfless staff. She looks forward to traveling with family in retirement. (WSB Radio)
- The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Cobb County due to heavy rains. There will be an increased risk of localized river and stream flooding through the end of the week. The National Weather Service has forecasted an increase of between 1.0 and 1.5 inches of rainfall with a possibility of 2 inches localized. (Cobb County Courier)
- The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art will be hosting Art of the Cocktail on Friday, Feb. 10 at 6:00 p.m. The event will feature two different specialty drinks, the "Lady in Red" and the "Get Figgy With It." Both drinks are created by Hamp & Harry's. The event will also feature various hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. (City of Marietta)
