Cobb Fire Crew Saves Trapped Dog From Giant Hole

After a dog fell into a deep hole in Cobb County, local firefighters came to its rescue and reunited it with the owner.

COBB COUNTY, GA — Cobb County firefighters do more than put out fires. Sometimes, they rescue animals, too.

That was the case for a Cobb fire crew last week. According to social media posts by Cobb County Animal Services, Ty McIntyre was checking a property in Cobb when he came across a large, deep hole — with a dog stuck inside.

McIntyre called for help, and that's when Cobb County Fire Department rescuers showed up. It was not clear how long the dog had been trapped, but the fire crew safely got the poor pup out of the hole unharmed, the post said.

Following the rescue, the dog was reunited with its owner.
