Cobb Firefighters Rescue Kitten From Storm Drain, Name Him Storm

Cobb firefighters rescued a tiny kitten earlier this week from a storm drain.

COBB COUNTY, GA — Cobb County firefighters rescued a kitten earlier this week that found itself trapped in a storm drain. Neighbors heard the kitten’s cries and immediately called 911.

The fire department posted on its Facebook page that “Storm,” got stuck in a storm water runoff pipe after it rained and “he was too tiny to escape the flowing water.”

He couldn’t escape the flowing water, they wrote.

"Crew members fought through the raging water (Hey, it was at least an inch or two deep, and it WAS flowing) as they made their way to the tiny island where the kitten was taking refuge," officials wrote. "The crew carried the tiny patient to safety."

Now one firefighter has adopted him. Captain Sue Addyman, who already has cats, made room for one more.
