Cobb Man Tried To Buy Preteen Girl For Sex, Warrant Says

MARIETTA, GA — Authorities are charging 43-year-old Justin Caleb Cook on a sex trafficking charge, according to a criminal warrant from Cobb County. Cook was arrested in the 700 block of Whitlock Avenue in Marietta on Feb. 18.

According to the warrant, Cook attempted to purchase a 12-year-old girl for the purpose of sexual intercourse between Feb. 13 and 18.

The building at which he was arrested, the West Park Government Center, is home to Cobb County offices such as the county's tax commissioner and a passport office.
