Cobb Police Find Girl, 4, Wandering in Neighborhood

Her 3-year-old brother "was left sleeping on a bed in close proximity to a bath tub containing water several inches deep," according to a Cobb County criminal warrant.

A 4-year-old girl was found last Thursday morning as she wandered through a neighborhood in the 6100 block of Perch Drive.

Edward Jay Kind of Marietta, who allegedly left the girl and her 3-year-old brother for approximately 90 minutes, faces charges that include two counts of contributing to the deprivation of a minor.

According to a Cobb County criminal warrant, Kind left the children around 8:40 a.m. April 25. He didn't return until 10:10 a.m, records show.

The 3-year-old "was left sleeping on a bed in close proximity to a bath tub containing water several inches deep," according to a warrant.

Kind was arrested Thursday. He spent a few hours in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center before he was released early Friday on a $4,000 bond.
