Cobb Restaurant Inspections: McCray's Tavern, IHOP, Yogli Mogli

COBB COUNTY, GA — Almost 50 Cobb County restaurants and food-service operations were inspected in the last week. Here's how they fared in their health inspections since June 10.

A total of 48 eateries were inspected, with 33 of those entities receiving As.

Eight of them received grades of B. Six received a C, and one received an unacceptable score: Shivam Chaat Corner in East Cobb.

Additionally, one of those Bs — Chef Smokey's in Austell — upped its unacceptable score from last week.

Each item on an inspection form has a point value ranging from 1 to 9 points, with violations deducting points from the best possible score of 100. Higher points are taken for items with higher risk to cause illness, while repeat violations take even more points.

Letter grades assigned are A for totals of 100 to 90 points, B for 89 to 80, C for 79 to 70, and U for less than 70.
