COBB COUNTY, GA — A Cobb County Sheriff's Office deputy was arrested Monday and charged with four felonies after deputies "discovered contraband" in the Cobb jail last week, according to a statement from the sheriff's office.

Dyimond Johnson, 30, of Sandy Springs, faces four felony charges: crossing guard lines with a controlled substance, conspiracy to commit a felony, violation of oath of office and giving false statements/concealing facts or fraudulent documents.

Johnson was hired as a Cobb sheriff's deputy four months ago "after undergoing a rigorous background check," the sheriff's office said. He was fired Monday after his arrest.
