Cobb Teens, 17 And 15, Charged With Murder; Third Suspect Still Wanted

The two teenagers, both of Mableton, are accused of setting up a fight that left a man dead; however, a third suspect is still unidentified.

COBB COUNTY, GA — Two Cobb County teenagers, one of which is a minor, face murder and aggravated assault charges in connection with a fight that left one man dead, Cobb police said.

Around 4 p.m. last Sunday, police said Jonathan Santos Fernandez, 17, and Justin Flores Allende, 15, as well as a third unidentified suspect, set up a meeting with Pablo Gomez and Edgar Villatoro at the Starling Place subdivision in Mableton with plans to fight.

Police said Allende and Fernandez "engaged in a physical altercation" with Gomez — also a minor — and Villatoro. The third suspect fired a rifle at Gomez and Villatoro as they fled, striking Gomez and killing him.

Allende and Fernandez have been charged with murder for setting up the meeting, as well as three counts of aggravated assault with intent to murder for having shot at Villatoro and toward two other men who were standing nearby, the Marietta Daily Journal reported.

Fernandez is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond, jail records show. Bonding information for Allende is not available since he's a minor.
