  1. A man was shot and killed by police officers in Marietta during a response to a domestic dispute call. The officers were dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of an assault on a woman by an armed man. The man was found armed with a weapon, and despite the unfortunate outcome, the officer's actions were deemed necessary for defense, according to Cobb County Police Chief Stuart VanHoozer.   2. Juneteenth Atlanta is returning for its 11th year with a three-day event featuring a parade, music festival, and various activities promoting unity and justice for the African diaspora. The festivities in Centennial Olympic Park will include live performances, a 5K race, a natural hair show, and the inaugural Historical Miss Juneteenth Georgia Pageant. The event aims to highlight Black-owned businesses and will host over 400 vendors, artists, and food trucks throughout the weekend. (GPB)
