Driver Injured Amid I-75 S Crashes Near Windy Hill Road

Two crashes occurred Thursday on Interstate 75 south near Windy Hill Road in Marietta.

MARIETTA, GA — Georgia authorities responded to a series of crashes early Thursday, including two in the same area of Interstate 75 south in Marietta.

The Georgia State Patrol told Patch that a driver was injured in one of two crashes on I-75 near Windy Hill Road.

A Ford F-150 was headed south on I-75, behind a Jeep Wrangler. Authorities said the driver of the Ford looked down at his GPS, and the F-150 rear-ended the Jeep. The driver of Jeep expressed having neck pain, the GSP said.

The crash shut down the far-right lane of I-75 south for about 20 minutes.

The GSP said during another crash in the same area, a Honda Accord tried to change lanes when it hit the side of a box truck. Authorities said both vehicle stopped on the right shoulder.

No one was injured in the crash, the GSP said.
