- Ahead of the winter season, the Marietta Police Department is encouraging Marietta residents to create vehicle kits containing essential travel items. The kits should include ice scrapers, flashlights, batteries, jumper cables, sand, a first aid kit, food, bottled water, blankets, and portable cell phone chargers. Residents are also reminded to keep at least half a tank of gas in vehicles during the winter months. (Marietta Police Department)
- A judge has extended the deadline for Cobb County absentee ballot returns for the U.S. Senate runoff election. The order was given by Superior Court Judge Kellie Hill after the county failed to send out over 3,400 absentee ballots on time for the election. The county additionally failed to send over 1,000 absentee ballots during the midterm election. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
- The Georgia Department of Corrections has asked the general public to not approach an inmate that vanished from a worksite on Friday. Rickoria Natashia Wills, 27, reportedly walked away from her job in Marietta and has not been seen since. Residents who encounter Wills are asked to dial 911 immediately. (WSBTV)
