Here are the top three stories today in Marietta:

  1. David Weekley Homes will be hosting a "Sip and Stroll" event for its newly completed Ellis community in Marietta. The event, meant for real estate professionals, will be on Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be raffle prizes, light refreshments, adult beverages, and a model home tour at 363 Ellis Preserve Lane.   2. A Fall Family Fun Day event is scheduled for tomorrow, Oct. 23 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will be at the Marietta Educational Garden Center on Kennesaw Avenue in Marietta. There will be crafts, refreshments, activities, face painting, and a mobile petting zoo. Fair Oak's gardens will be available for fall family photos during the event.   3. The Cobb County Adult Detention Center has graduated its first cohort of 13 detainees from its ReAlign ReStart Program. The program is meant to address workforce stigma while addressing the state's ongoing worker shortage. The program is a partnership with WorkSource Cobb and Construction Ready. Inmates are trained for jobs in construction. (11 Alive)
