Former Marietta Coach Arrested For Alleged Sex Abuse
Former Life University coach awaits extradition to Pennyslvania on sex abuse charges involving young boy.

MARIETTA, GA -- A former Life University coach is in police custody after he was arrested in connection with alleged sexual abuse of a young athlete, Patch has learned.
Cobb County sheriff’s deputies arrested Ron Gorman, 51, at his east Cobb residence Friday evening, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reports. The case involves a youth in East Stroudsburg, Pa., where Gorman reportedly worked as a wrestling coach.
The allegations came to light in September when authorities investigated him for alleged inappropriate behavior with boys in Marietta, according to news reports.

Gorman has been charged by Pennsylvania authorites with "numerous counts of rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault and corruption of minors," according to the report obtained by WGCL-TV.
A former student of Gorman's -- now 20 years old -- claims the former wrestling coach sexually abused him for several years starting when he was 10 years old, according to WNEP in Pennsylvania.

Police expect the investigation to widen as more alleged victims come forward, the TV station reports.
Gorman coached and volunteered in Cobb County for a number of years.
Gorman is expected to be extradited to Pennsylvania.
