COBB COUNTY, GA — Chief Magistrate Judge Brendan Murphy and Cobb County Sheriff Craig Owens are hosting "The People's Court Vaccination Clinic" Thursday, providing free COVID-19 vaccines to the community with no appointment necessary.

The clinic will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cobb County Magistrate Court, located at 32 Waddell St. in Marietta, according to a Tuesday news release from the county. First or second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be available, with the Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer vaccines offered.

The clinic is being held in conjunction with magistrate courts across metro Atlanta as part of the "People's Courts Vaccination Challenge." The first event was held last week at the Magistrate Court of Fulton County, and a similar clinic at the Rockdale County Magistrate is scheduled Friday.

“At the Magistrate Court, we work hard to break down barriers to ensure access to justice for
everyone in our community,” Murphy said in the release. “We jumped at the opportunity to help do the same for public health by bringing this free clinic to the courthouse where we serve some of the most vulnerable each day.”
