- Gas prices in Cobb County continue to drop, despite holiday season demands. The price for a gallon of gas in the county is below $3. Prices may not stay at that level for long as the governor's gas tax suspension is set to expire on Jan. 10. (Yahoo! News)
- Five fire station crews responded to an auto shop fire in nearby Kennesaw on Tuesday. The employees of the auto repair shop reportedly told firefighters that the cause of the fire was due to an exterior furnace unit. (WSB-TB)
- A local plumber talked about the reason behind the increase in bursts and broken pipes over the last week in metro Atlanta. The owner of City Wide Plumbing down the road in Acworth said that the lack of pipe insulation due to building codes and the warm climate contributes to the issue. He recommended letting faucets drip water during cold temperatures to prevent bursting pipes. (WSB-TV)
