Gov. Brian Kemp Speaking Monday At Cobb Chamber Breakfast
Kemp will speak at the Cobb Galleria Centre at 7:30 am on Monday.

ATLANTA -- Gov. Brian Kemp is set to speak at the Cobb Chamber's First Monday Breakfast on April 8. The event begins at 7:30 am at the Cobb Galleria Centre. Kemp is expected to speak about the recently concluded 2019 legislative session, as well as answer questions from the audience.
Mitch Rhoden of Futren Hospitality is the 2019 Cobb Chamber chairman. Synovus and Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP are sponsoring the breakfast. In addition, the 2019 Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership will also be presented.
One of the legislature's most controversial bills this year came from a Cobb lawmaker. State Rep. Ed Setzler (R-Acworth) was the primary sponsor of the so-called "Heartbeat Bill," which passed on the legislature's next-to-last day. Kemp has been a major supporter of the measure, which prohibits most abortions after six weeks from conception. If Kemp signs the bill as expected, Georgia will have one of the nation's strongest abortion laws.
