Graduations Postponed At Marietta, Pebblebrook High Schools
Cobb County School District and Marietta City Schools officials announced the change Friday afternoon due to inclement weather.
COBB COUNTY, GA — Graduations have been postponed at Marietta and Pebblebrook high schools due to inclement weather, the school districts announced Friday afternoon.
The graduation ceremonies were both scheduled for Friday night, but are now postponed until Saturday.
Marietta High School's ceremony will take place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Northcutt Stadium, located at 121 Winn St.

The National Weather Service predicts that "outdoor activities during the evening hours tonight would be impacted by rain, wind and lightning," Marietta Principal Keith Ball said in an email to parents Friday.
If inclement weather interrupts the Saturday evening graduation ceremony, MCS will move it to Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the same location. A rain-or-shine graduation will be held Monday, May 31 at 10 a.m. if all else fails.

Pebblebrook High School's will take place at 2 p.m. at McEachern High School's Cantrell Stadium, located at 2400 New Macland Road in Powder Springs, the district said in a news release. Graduates are instructed to convene in the lineup room at 12:30 p.m., and gates will open to visitors and guests at 1 p.m.
