Gunman Robs Title Loans Business In Marietta: Police
A thief armed with a firearm walked into Atlanta Title Loans in Marietta, inquired about a payment plan and robbed the place, police say.
MARIETTA, GA -- Police in Cobb County are searching for a man who walked into a title loans business, inquired about a payment plan, then robbed the place. The incident happened about 6 p.m. Tuesday at Atlanta Title Loans on Austell Road in Marietta.
Officers who responded to the call were told by employees that the man entered the business and asked about getting a title loan for a vehicle, according to Cobb police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce. Within moments, the man pulled out a gun, Pierce said. After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the perpetrator fled in a newer model dark-colored Chevrolet Camaro, either blue or black. The employee was not hurt during the robbery, Pierce said.

Security cameras captured the offender, who is described as clean-shaven with a slim build and being in his 20’s. He was last seen wearing a baseball hat, dark shirt and denim.
