  1. Marietta-based Georgia Symphony Orchestra will be performing the annual Holiday Pops concert on Saturday, Dec. 3. The concert will be held at the Marietta Performing Arts Center at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The focus of this year's concert is 'timeless classics everyone knows and loves.'   2. Cobb County Commissioners are expected to formally file a letter of objection today. The letter will object to the City of Marietta's annexation request for land off of Bells Ferry Road. The request is for almost 170 acres to develop a major subdivision. The objection alleges that the development would violate the maximum density level. (East Cobb News)
  3. Cobb County leaders are considering a proposal that would use money obtained through the American Rescue Plan Act to fill public safety job openings. The county received $147 million through the federal act and the proposal would use $20 million of it. The Cobb County Police Department currently has 83 vacancies, while the Cobb County Fire Department has 81 vacancies. (Fox 5 Atlanta)
