Home Depot Bringing 500 Jobs to Marietta

The company's 200,000 sq. ft. technology center is finally open.

Smyrna-based The Home Depot has finished renovating a 200,000 sq. ft. property in Marietta that will serve as the company’s new technology center.

The center on Franklin Road opened Tuesday and The Home Depot tells the Atlanta Business Chronicle that it plans to bring 500 more jobs to the area in the near future.

In March of this year, the board of the Development Authority of Cobb County voted unanimously to grant The Home Depot $200 million in tax abatements over a ten year period; the abatements helped pay for the renovation of the technology center and the company’s corporate headquarters in the Cumberland area.
