- I-75 in Marietta was closed over the weekend and reopened early Monday morning. The road closure was part of a preservation project for the bridge on I-75 at SR 120 Loop. (Cobb County Courier)
- The Cobb school board approved $100 million in loan requests for construction projects in the new year. The 2023 projects are part of the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax. (Subscription: MDJOnline.com)
- A 77-year-old mother was found stabbed to death in her home in a gated community in nearby Buckhead. Police found the victims vehicle in DeKalb County and are looking for one person of interest and any information from the public. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution)

The police department said that having a working camera system in place can act as a deterrent for a would-be-criminal thinking about breaking into your home.
