  1. Cobb County will hold a public meeting on Jun. 28 to gather input on the allocation of $989.45 in interest income from the United States Department of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program (JAG) for the Fiscal Year 2020. The proposed plan is to allocate the funds to LiveSAFE Resources, Inc., an organization supporting survivors of domestic violence. The public comment period will last for 30 days until Jul. 17, and the funding proposal will be reviewed by the Cobb County Board of Commissioners on Aug. 8. (Cobb County Courier)
  2. The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art will be hosting its annual juried exhibition, "Metro Montage XXIII," starting on Jul, 1. The exhibition will feature diverse works of fine art by contemporary artists from across the country, highlighting various genres, mediums, styles, subjects, concepts, and techniques. The event will take place in the Museum's galleries, with free admission for members and a $10 fee for guests.   3. A Marietta man sustained life-threatening injuries when his motorcycle was hit by a pickup truck at the intersection of Powder Springs Street and Bellemeade Drive. The collision occurred as the man was riding his motorcycle east on Powder Springs, and the truck attempted a left turn from the opposite direction, crossing into the motorcycle's path. The man was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with life-threatening injuries; no further information was available at the time of publication, and the Marietta Police Department's Selective Traffic Enforcement Program Unit is investigating the incident.   • Down the road in Atlanta, a man reported being kidnapped by three men near his apartment complex. According to the man, he was abducted while out running at 2:30 a.m. He described the kidnappers as three men in a black pickup truck, who overpowered him and used a cloth with a strong smell to make him lose consciousness. The authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Atlanta Police. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
