Legal Information Available At Cobb County Law Library
The law library offers legal info on divorce, drafting a will, legitimation, name changes and landlord and tenant rights.
COBB COUNTY, GA — Cobb County's law library is open to the public, providing resources for legal information for both attorneys and laypeople.
Packets of some domestic relations forms for situations including divorce, legitimation and name changes, are available for purchase in the law library, according to a news release from the Cobb County District Attorney's Office. Cash is required, and prices range from $1 to $15. The forms — with instructions — are also available on the website.
The law library also has computers available for legal research, as well as self-help books on a variety of common legal needs such as drafting a simple will, the divorce process, and landlord and tenant rights.

No library or county employee can provide legal advice or advise people how to fill out forms. For legal advice, the DA's office suggests contacting the Cobb Bar Association's Lawyer Referral Service at 770-424-2947 or the Cobb office of Atlanta Legal Aid at 770-528-2565.
The law library is on the fourth floor of the Cobb Superior Court, located at 70 Haynes St. in Marietta. It's open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
