- Marietta Church, Worship with Wonders, located on Powder Springs Road, faces accusations of "bait and switch." It is said the church hung up a rainbow banner that reads "Proud to be Delivered" and appears to promote LGBTQ+ community acceptance, but the church instead states they want to deliver people from homosexuality. Worship With Wonders is asking that those who identify as LGBTQ+ leave this lifestyle behind and embrace the church’s brand of Christianity. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
- William Lopez, 17, is the second teen to have died by suicide at the Cobb County jail within three days. Lopez was found unresponsive in his cell on Jun. 20 and 19-year-old Augustus Green was found unresponsive on Jun. 17. The Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI) is investigating both incidents. (11 Alive)
- The family of Charles "C.J." Brown, who was killed at a sleepover, is grieving, and seeking justice. They stated Brown’s killer is still free after finding out charges have been dropped in connection to his death. Brown’s mother, Ashley Heard, was also told by police that the adults present informed them that he had shot himself in the face. Heard does not believe this to be true considering Brown knew gun safety and was an avid visitor of the gun range. This investigation is currently ongoing. (WSB Atlanta)
