Cobb County Bus Driver Of 20 Years, Lisa Gross, Dies Of COVID-19
Lisa Gross, who was well-known throughout Marietta, died of COVID-19 recently. The 52-year-old was a Cobb bus driver for 20 years.
COBB COUNTY, GA — Lisa Gross, a longtime Cobb County School District bus driver, died of COVID-19 in October, her family told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Gross, who was well-known throughout Marietta and served as a CCSD bus driver for 20 years, was 52 years old when she died. She wore a different Christmas hat every day in December, the AJC reported, and often made gift bags for the students on her bus.
She became sick with COVID-19 over Labor Day weekend after driving for the first month of the 2021-22 school year, was hospitalized Sept. 11 and died Oct. 20, her family told the AJC.
