In Loving Memory of William Lanier Crowe, 76

William Lanier Crowe, age 76, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away in the early morning of October 13, 2015.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta.

Mr. Crowe, born on September 18, 1939, was a native of the Smyrna / Marietta area and lived here his entire life. He was a 1958 graduate of Osborne High School and attended West Georgia College. He was a member of Olive Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Crowe was a sales manager for Corn Brothers for many years prior to owning and operating A Gallery House Frame Shop off the square in Marietta / Powder Springs Street and WLC Enterprises, a home building company.

Lanier is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances Chastain Crowe; his daughter, Jill Crowe Mutimer; his daughter-in-law, Kelie Crowe; his grandchildren, Abby Crowe, Will Crowe, Grace Mutimer, and Kate Mutimer; and his brother, Wayne Crowe. Lanier was preceded in death by his son, William Jeffrey Crowe, and his parents, Loueva Burnette Crowe and William Thomas (Sugar) Crowe. While most recently still active in his building business, Mr. Crowe spent most of his time attending every possible sporting / performance event involving his grandchildren. He will be missed by many.
