  1. A proposal to make Mableton its own city has sparked various reactions in Cobb County. Advocates of the proposal believe that cityhood would allow more redevelopments to occur within the area. Opponents of the proposal are concerned about rising taxes and the lack of a solid cityhood plan. (WSBTV)
  2. A Marietta teen has been indicted on several charges, according to Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr. Donald Bannister, 17 years old, was indicted on charges related to gang activity and a fight that occurred in the Cobb County Jail. The indictment was made possible through an investigation by the Cobb County Police Department's Gang Prosecution Unit's. Click the following link for the laundry list of charges. (WSB Atlanta)
  3. Cobb County will be celebrating Truck-A-Palooza on Saturday at the Town Center Mall in Kennesaw. This family-friendly event will feature police cars, fire trucks, construction vehicles, dump trucks, and more. There is a five-dollar fee per person. The max fee is $20 for each family. The event's proceeds will be used to support the Cobb County Safety Village. (Subscription: AJC.com)
