Man Hit, Killed While Walking On I-75: Marietta Police
A 26-year-old man was walking in the middle of Interstate 75 early Wednesday morning when an oncoming truck struck and killed him.
MARIETTA, GA — A man was walking on Interstate 75 when he was hit and killed by an oncoming vehicle early Wednesday morning, according to the Marietta Police Department.
Joshua Edwards, 26, of Atlanta was walking in the middle of I-75 northbound near Allgood Road "for unknown reasons," said Chuck McPhilamy, public information officer for MPD, in a news release.
A 2019 Freightliner truck tractor, driven by 53-year-old Tonya Martin of Cartersville, was driving northbound in the middle lane when she hit him around 1:17 a.m. Wednesday. Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene.

No charges have been issued at this time.
MPD investigators are still looking into the fatal crash. Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator N. St. Onge at 770-794-5352.
