🌱 Marietta Man Killed In Rear-End Crash + Fun In The Park Contest

Here are the top three stories in Marietta today:
- The Cobb County Police Department reports that a Marietta man was killed on Friday during a collision on Cobb Parkway. The incident occurred at 12:59 p.m. north of EMC Parkway when the man's 2020 Chevrolet Colorado struck the rear-end of an International straight truck. The driver of the truck was not injured during the incident. The department is investigating the crash. (Cobb County Courier)
- The deadline for Cobb PARKS annual Fun in the Park contest is Nov. 3. All photo entries must be taken at a Cobb County park, facility, activity, or event to qualify for the contest. There is no charge to enter the photo contest. There is a limit of ten entries per resident. Click the link for information on submitting an entry. (Cobb County Courier)
- Cobb County's Truist Park has unveiled new food items for the National League Division Series. The "Los Bravos Pork Wings" are four deep-fried pork fibs with a cornmeal crunch batter in a Coca-Cola BBQ sauce topped with potato sticks. The "Banana Rakes Sundae" is a deep-fried banana wrapped in an egg roll sheet and tossed in cinnamon sugar.
