- Cobb County Superior Court Judge Kimberly Childs has sentenced Lashumbia D. Session to life without the possibility of parole. The sentence was handed down after Session was convicted of eight counts of armed robbery. The conviction was for a robbery spree that occurred in Marietta, Powder Springs, and Austell throughout 2018. The Marietta Police Department assisted in the investigation. (Cobb County Courier)
- Marietta Tree Keepers is searching for volunteers to help plant trees throughout Marietta. The organization will be meeting on Nov. 13 at 9:00 a.m. at the city's Maintenance Building near Lewis Park to begin planting. There will be tools and refreshments provided. - The Cobb & Douglas Department of Public Health has released its latest list of health inspections. The Marietta Fish Market was inspected on Wednesday, Nov. 2, and received a 94 score, which equates to an "A Grade."
