Man Sought In Cobb Game Night Shooting Arrested In AR: Police
Police arrested Cody Dimmitt, who was wanted for allegedly shooting a gun into a neighbor's game night party, in Arkansas late Tuesday.

COBB COUNTY, GA — The man who allegedly fired multiple rounds into a neighbor's game night in Marietta over the weekend was arrested Tuesday — in another state — after multiple days of searching for him.
Police arrested Cody Dimmitt, 28, of Marietta, in Arkansas late Tuesday night, Cobb County Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Wayne Delk said. He was wanted on separate charges there and the Federal Bureau of Investigation is involved, Delk said Wednesday morning, but could not provide information on his charges in Arkansas.
Dimmitt was wanted in Cobb County on aggravated assault charges for the game night shooting, which injured one person.

Around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, Cobb police officers were dispatched to a home on Westchase Drive for a report of a person shot, police said. The male victim had a gunshot wound to the shoulder, Cobb police spokesperson Officer S.A. Barner said Monday morning, and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives said Dimmitt fired multiple rounds into his neighbor's house after being denied access to their couples' game night. He fled the scene before police arrived.

Cobb arrest warrants show Dimmitt (though Cobb police initially spelled it "Demmitt") faces 11 counts of aggravated assault — naming the 11 victims inside the home — for the Marietta incident, where police said he fired a 20-gauge shotgun and a 7.62 caliber SKS rifle into the house.
Arkansas State Police told the Marietta Daily Journal that Dimmett faces multiple charges there after a traffic stop turned into a pursuit including: felony fleeing; theft of a vehicle and firearms; criminal impersonation for running blue lights during the pursuit; first-degree criminal mischief for damage to a police vehicle; fleeing on foot; reckless driving; leaving the scene of an accident and four counts of aggravated assault for "hitting [a] tractor trailer and running three other vehicles off the road."
