Man Whose Body Was Found Near Marietta Hotel Fire Identified
Police said Mark Foster of Marietta appears to have been the victim of a 'tragic accident.'

MARIETTA, GA -- Police have released the name of the man whose body was found near a Marietta hotel fire on Sunday. Mark Foster, 53, of Marietta, Georgia, appears to have been the victim of "a tragic accident," police said Monday. They added there are no obvious signs of foul play, but the investigation is continuing.
Foster's body was found after a fire at the Regency Inn & Suites was put out.
Firefighters responded shortly before 1 am Sunday morning to the fire at 642 Cobb Parkway South. Five engines and two trucks responded, and the damage from the fire was contained to about two wooded acres directly behind the motel. No structures were damaged by the fire.
