Marietta Community Church Breaks Ground On First Official Site
Marietta Community Church hasn't had an official location to call home since it was founded in 2015. But soon, it will.
MARIETTA, GA — Over the weekend, Marietta Community Church leaders and congregants gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of its very first church, six years after MCC was created.
MCC leaders have had to hold services at various locations in the county, including the church's most recent home at Strand Theatre since March 2020.
But on Sunday, church members broke ground on their own church on a 7-acre plot off Ernest Barrett Parkway, north of its intersection with Dallas Highway, the Marietta Daily Journal reported. Completion of the first phase — with a $6 million price tag — is expected in fall 2022.
