Pedestrian Injured After Being Hit By 2 Cars In Marietta

A pedestrian is suffering life-threatening injuries after being hit by two cars at a Marietta crosswalk, police say.

MARIETTA, GA — A pedestrian is battling life-threatening injuries after being hit by two cars Monday night in the 600 block of Powder Springs Street, Marietta Police said Tuesday.

Officers responded to the crash around 11:30 p.m. Police said a man was walking in the crosswalk against the traffic control device at Powder Springs when he was first hit by a 2020 Mercedes Benz then a 2015 Nissan, police said.

The man suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, police said. His condition was unknown late Tuesday morning.

Both drivers remained on the scene. After reviewing video from the Cobb County Police Department Real Time Crime Center, police said they did not anticipate charging the drivers as of Tuesday.

Marietta Police's traffic investigators are overseeing the probe in the case.
