Marietta Police Hold Prescription Drug Take Back Day
On Saturday, anybody can come drop off unwanted drugs in a safe, anonymous way.
MARIETTA, GA — The Marietta Police Department is hosting a one-day take back event alongside the Drug Enforcement Agency with the goal of getting rid unwanted drugs in a safe way.
"Our goal is to collect and destroy left over medicine and prescription drugs from area residents in an attempt to prevent them from falling into the wrong hands," the police department said in a release.
Throwing away or flushing unwanted drugs is hazardous to the environment, so turning them in properly is vital. The process is simple: just show up and drop off your drugs anonymously.
